Three Southshore Teams Win Big!

🎉 Big wins all around for Southshore schools—so grab your foam fingers and let’s give it up for our champions!
🏈 Lennard High School Girls Flag Football absolutely dominated the field and brought home the District Championship. Their grit, hustle, and touchdown tornadoes have officially put the Longhorns on the map—and possibly ESPN’s watchlist.
🏈 Not to be outdone, the East Bay High Girls Flag Football team also snagged their own District Championship! That’s right—double the flags, double the wins, and double the reason to start practicing your endzone dance.
⚾ And rounding out the hat trick, the East Bay High Baseball team crushed it at the plate and are now your District Baseball Champions. Clearly, East Bay knows how to bring the heat—on and off the diamond.
Three district champs. One fired-up community. Way to go, athletes—you’re making Southshore proud and giving us all a reason to claim we “knew them before they were famous.”

🛒 Sam’s Club Is Breaking Up with Checkout Lanes 💔

Standing in line might soon be something we tell our grandkids about—like floppy disks or dialing *69.
Sam’s Club is officially phasing out traditional checkout lanes and going all-in on their Scan & Go tech. That means no more conveyor belts, no more small talk with the cashier, and no more pretending you didn’t sneak that family-size box of Pop-Tarts into the cart.
With Scan & Go, members can scan items as they shop and pay right from their phones—because apparently, your phone is now your cart, your wallet, and your checkout clerk.
But wait, there’s more. They’re also rolling out AI-powered exit scanners that verify your purchases as you leave, which sounds futuristic but slightly terrifying (shoutout to all the receipt-checkers who may be getting replaced by robots).
The goal? A faster, smoother, and totally lane-free shopping experience. No lines. No awkward price checks. No "clean-up on aisle 4."
The future of shopping is here—and it wants you to grab, scan, and go. Just don’t forget your membership card... or your phone... or your kid.
