Farming Meets the Future: $30M AI Agriculture Hub Coming to Wimauma

The University of Florida is breaking ground this November on a $30 million AI agriculture facility at its Gulf Coast Research and Education Center in Wimauma.
Professor Nathan Boyd says the project will give farmers tools to stay profitable and keep America’s food supply secure. “We need to be able to feed ourselves, and we need our growers to remain profitable,” he said.
The center will use AI to help detect crop issues faster, improve yields, and fill workforce gaps as fewer people enter farming. Backed by an additional $4.5 million in federal grants for equipment, the facility is designed to push Florida’s largest industry into the future.
For Tampa Bay, it’s not just a new building, it’s a step toward keeping food on the table and farmers in business.

Be honest, do you really trust your roof?
Sure, it’s been hanging over your head for years, but when that Florida storm rolls in, do you trust it not to drip on your forehead at 3 a.m.? If the answer is ‘uhh…maybe?’ You need Steadfast Roofing. Because in a storm, you don’t want a roof that’s ‘iffy,’ you want one that’s steadfast.
