🦇 Bat Season Is Here—And You Might Have Roommates

Let’s rip the Band-Aid off: From April 15 to August 15, it’s illegal to evict bats in Florida. Why? Because it’s maternity season. The baby bats can’t fly yet — and you can’t legally tell them to flap off. So if you hear fluttering in your attic, congrats: you’ve just opened a bat & breakfast.
Story Time
Last April, I walked outside at dusk and watched 200 bats fly out of my soffit like they were late for a vampire convention. My family and I stood in the driveway dumbfounded.
Sure, bats are pretty common around here — but watching a horde erupt from a loose panel in your attic? That’s the stuff horror movies are made of.
The next morning, I was on a mission to find a pest control company. But locating someone who actually dealt with bats? Easier said than done. And with the April 15th deadline charging at me like a bull, the clock was ticking.
Thankfully, it was April 6. I managed to connect with Rodent Solutions, and they swooped in like the pest-control Avengers. Within days, the bats were out, the house was sealed, and I didn’t have to wear gloves or cry in my garage.
If your timing isn’t as lucky and you already have a bat party doing the electric slide right above your living room, don’t panic.

Rodent Solutions can still:
Do a full inspection
Seal up future entry points
Prep for a full post-season eviction plan (mid-August = D-Day)
Explain, kindly, that your attic is not a bat daycare
🧰 Oh, and They Do WAY More Than Bats:
Rodent Solutions isn’t your average pest control company — they have a construction background. That means they don’t just kill pests, they keep them from coming back. Their services include:
Rodent proofing & exclusion (Say goodbye to attic squatters)
General pest control (Because ants aren’t paying rent either)
Bat removal (post-August 15)
Bird control & deterrence (Think polite eviction notices… with spikes)
Decontamination & attic cleanouts (For the messier tenants)
Mosquito treatment (Summer’s least-wanted guest list)
Mole control
Termite bait stations
They’re licensed, certified by NWCOA, and trusted by homeowners all over Southshore and beyond. More importantly, they’re the people you call when things in your attic go bump in the night.

It’s Game Time for Mosquitoes

Mosquito season is here — and SouthShore’s not going down without a fight. Hillsborough County is unleashing the tiniest, hungriest heroes you’ve never heard of: mosquitofish.
These little guys eat mosquito larvae like it’s an all-you-can-eat buffet and don’t need food, attention, or a bedtime story. Drop them in your fountain, rain barrel, or neglected kiddie pool — and let them go to work.
