Selfie Time with Old St. Nick

Looking for the perfect holiday pic with the big guy? Nope, not grandpa—we’re talking Santa Claus! Here’s a few places where you can snag that all-important selfie with St. Nick. 🎅✨
The Manatee Viewing Center is Heating Up
Here in Florida, winter isn’t much more than a few chilly cold fronts strung together. But this year, it feels like they started early—and we just might get a little actual winter with our "winter."
But don’t worry, the cooler temps (by our standards) come with a bonus: manatees galore!
The gentle giants of Apollo Beach are basking in the warm outflows from the TECO Power Station. If you remember, we recently mentioned how this station may be scaled down in the future, so don’t miss your chance to see these timid sea cows while they’re still lounging around.
Every year, over 1,000 West Indian manatees flock to the warm waters of the Manatee Viewing Center. Like all true Floridians, they’re not fans of the cold.
So why not make a day of it?
Watch the manatees play.

Explore the Florida Conservation and Technology Center.
It’s the perfect way to enjoy Florida's version of winter—without the snow boots. 🐾
Back From Break But Not For Long
There’s nothing harder than getting back to work when you’re still recovering from a stuffing-induced food coma. That first week back is a true test of willpower—and the stretchiness of your waistband. But here at The Circle, we get it.
To help you get back on track before the year winds down, here are some tips to survive (and thrive) during this awkward in-between time:
1. Dream big: Take the ultimate holiday break.
Thanksgiving to New Year’s off? It’s the stuff of legends. Sure, it’s not realistic, but hey—sometimes you’ve got to swing for the fences.
2. Make a to-do list.
The end of the year is where champions are made. Write down what must get done before the office turns into the ghost of Christmas past.
3. Tackle tasks like a linebacker.
Procrastination is the Grinch of productivity. Get those big-ticket items done now before Jingle Bells starts playing on repeat.
4. Do what you can do.
Let’s be real—not everything will get finished. Don’t sweat the impossible; focus on the doable and push the rest into next year.
5. Set yourself up for January success.
This isn’t just about wrapping up the year—it’s about setting the tone for the next. Take time now to plan for a smooth start after the ball drops.
6. Take a real break.
When you’re off, be OFF. Rest, recharge, and maybe dodge Aunt Sally’s infamous fruitcake. Burnout isn’t festive.
With these tips, you’ll slide into the holidays and the new year like a pro. And remember, stretchy pants were invented for a reason—embrace them. 😉
